Over the years I have had a go at a number of different materials to work with. Having worked with metal as well, wood remains my favourite. Here is a list of some of my work.
- Coffee tables
- Wood turning
- Shop display shelves
- Drinks trolley
- Drop-leaf table
- Guitar Mk I
- Guitar Mk II
- Harry Potter’s wand
- K money box
Coffee tables
Two tables with the smaller one stacking under the larger one. I made these using silky oak from a tree that was cut down in my back yard and having the timber milled locally. Legs are from Tasmanian Blackwood.
Wood Turning
I love the spalted Huon Pine the larger of these bowls were made from. The smaller birdsmouth bowl is made from an old tree branch which I suspect may have been from some kind of fruit tree.

Guitar Mk I
I have made a couple of electric guitars and I am gradually learning how to play. This is the first guitar I made using some mahogany from shelves I found lying on the side of the road.
Guitar Mk II
After the initial success of Guitar Mk I, decided to make another for my grand-daughter

Making the fret board
Neck head
The completed guitar. I retrieved this back from my grand-daughter when she lost interest in learning. This is the one I now practice with.
Harry Potter’s Wand
One of my grand daughters is a big Harry Potter fan. I made her a replica and presentation case for a Christmas present.
K Money Box
This money box has a perspex front and is shaped as the letter “K” which grandson’s name begins with
